The Missouri Humanities Council has awarded the Andrew County Museum a grant of $5,000 for the installation of an audio-visual system in it's Duncan Gallery. With museum audience numbers increasing, the need for a high quality system has become obvious.
The new A-V system will allow visitors to watch programs on a large, clear screen from a ceiling-mounted projector. It will also allow them to listen from surround-sound speakers.
The director of the museum, Glenn Uminowicz, believes the improvements are vital to the museum's success.
A $10,000 fundraising campaign has been started to finish the project.
Uminowicz says that the museum hopes to have the project completed by mid-December.
