Sept. 29, 2014ST. JOSEPH, Mo. | By: Campbell
The results of a recently completed Visitor Profile Study on the Kansas City Chief's Training Camp show positive results for the city of Saint Joseph.
The approximate attendance for this year's camp was 40,000 people, bringing Buchanan County over 6 million dollars in revenue.
The Communications Director at the Saint Joseph Convention and Visitor's Bureau, Beth Conway, says while the study helps business owners understand demographics better, it also reveals great growth in visitation and spending.
Conway adds this years attendees came from all over the country.
The survey also found 16 percent of those asked were spending their first visit in St Joseph and 66 percent of those interviewed intended to return to St Joseph within the next 12 months.
