Distinguished Lecture Series Line-Up

Northwest Missouri State University's 2014-2015 distinguished lecture series kicks off later this month.

The first speaker is Jeannette Walls. Walls will discuss her New York Times best-seller "The Glass Castle".
"The Glass Castle" tells of Walls' life growing up in extreme poverty and her ability to overcome tragic hurdles.

The lecture will begin at 7:30 Thursday night, September 25th in the Mary Linn Auditorium at the Ron Houston Center for the Performing Arts.

Other speakers in Northwest Missouri State University's lecture series include Creative Director for Marvel Comics, Bill Rosemann; Entrepreneur, Derreck Kayongo; and former President of the American Civil Liberties Union, Nadine Strossen.

The theme of this year's series is "Be your own superhero: safer, happier, healthier, and wealthier."
