A new predator is threatening area pastures in northwest Missouri.
The fall armyworm feeds on foliage. Pastures used for stockpiling and grazing could be lost but not killed.
University of Missouri Extension Regional Agronimist Wayne Flanary says the fall armyworm likes to attack fresh forage fields.
Flanary adds farmers should watch their pastures closely, if fall armyworm is suspected.
