"Fight Hunger Spark Change" Competition Begins

Second Harvest Community Food Bank will compete in a Walmart food campaign for the next three weeks.

The campaign is called "Fight Hunger Spark Change" where people may vote for their favorite food bank until Oct. 5.

The top fifty winners across the country will receive a $60,000 grant from Walmart.

Chad Higdon is the Executive Director of Second Harvest Community Food bank.

He says if they win, part of the money will help specific programs with their partner agencies.

Higdon says the rest of the money will help support 70,000 pounds of protein distribution to Second Harvest's network of agencies.
