First Friday Celebration Concert Discontinued

A southeastern Nebraska town's concert series is being discontinued.

Over the past seven years, Brownville's First Friday celebration has featured concerts the first Friday of every month year-round. 

The event is being discontinued due to lack of merchant sponsorship and a decrease in supporters' donations.

One last concert is scheduled for this Friday. Midwest Dilemma will perform at the River Inn from 7 to 9 p.m.
