Sept. 16, 2014MARYVILLE, Mo. | By: Coffey
The Maryville Board of Education met last night and approved the fiscal year 2014-15 operating budget.
Superintendent Larry Linthacum says this year's budget is approximately 29 million dollars.
Linthacum also says the closing of the Energizer plant in Maryville in December had an affect on this year's budget totals.
Linthacum adds the budget also includes technology purchases, a $200 increase in the base salary for teachers to $31,300 and the district continues to fund 100 percent of their employees health insurance.
