Sept. 17, 2014MARYVILLE, Mo. | By: Coffey
Last week, the Missouri General Assembly overrode Governor Jay Nixon's veto of a bill allowing teachers in the state to receive training to carry a firearm in their classrooms.
The Maryville school district has a No Firearms Allowed policy on all school property and Superintendent Larry Linthacum says he doesn't anticipate any change in that policy.
Linthacum says providing a safe learning enviroment for students is one of the Maryville district's top goals.
