Missouri State Highway Patrol Flooded Roads Warning

With the recent rains, several area rivers and streams experienced flash flooding.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds drivers that driving into flooded areas are extremely dangerous.

Director of the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Public Information and Education Captain Tim Hull says to be mindful when approaching flooded areas.

With temperature changes taking place, Hull adds fog can cause issues for drivers.

Also, this week is National Child Passenger Safety week and drivers are encouraged to protect themselves and their passengers by making sure everyone in the vehicle is properly restrained.
