North Nodaway R-VI Board of Education meeting update

The North Nodaway R-VI Board of Education met in regular session last week, making up a meeting that was rescheduled due to icy conditions the week before.

During the meeting, the board voted to re-approve the Co-Teaching model for the elementary school in Pickering. Superintendent James Simmelink says the model allows teachers to evaluate student progress more closely.

The board also approved using the auditing firm Conrad & Higgins, LLC to perform the district's annual audits through 2020. In addition, the board approved the 2018-2019 academic calendar.
