St. Francis Hospital Foundation hosts 27th annual golf classic

The St. Francis Hospital Foundation is getting ready for the 27th annual golf classic. With this year's theme being "Our Roots Run Deep," the fundraiser will be hosted by the Nodaway Valley Bank.

The proceeds from this year's golf classic fundraiser will go towards the purchase of a new ultrasound machine, which will be used for pediatric patients to determine the status of heart murmurs in babies and toddlers, and the diagnosis of potentially life-threatening conditions in adolescents before enrolling in athletics. Development Officer Meghan Jennings says this new equipment is replacing the old outdated equipment.

This year's tournament will be held on Friday, May 18, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Mozingo Lake Recreation Park Golf Course. It will be formatted as a four-person scramble.
