On March 16 and 17 the Special Olympics Missouri State Indoor Games will bring nearly 3,000 athletes and coaches from across the state to St. Joseph to compete in basketball, bowling and other special events.
Public Relations and Volunteer Coordinator for Special Olympics Harrison McLean says this is the first time in a long time that this event has been held in St. Joseph. McLean says volunteers are needed mostly for the basketball event.
St. Joseph will be hosting the Indoor Games for the next three years.
