The Northwest Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety is hosting a Free Car Seat Check this afternoon at Walmart in Maryville, at 1605 South Main Street. Coalition Past Chair Marcia Johnson says there will be technicians on hand to make sure car seats are properly installed.
Johnson says it's important to make sure the right seats are installed correctly to ensure that child passengers are safe in cars.
Johnson also says there are a lot of different types and models of car seats, which can confuse consumers when it comes to which seat is the right one and making sure it's installed properly. She says that's why these seat checks are so important.
The Free Car Seat Check in Maryville is this afternoon, from 2-4 p.m., in the Walmart parking lot.
