The Missouri Senate is working through potential sources of funding for higher education.
12th District Sen. Dan Hegeman, a Republican from Cosby, says one of the measures he is supporting is Senate Bill 990 which seeks to modify provisions relating to the attachment of school districts to community college districts.
Hegeman says the bill will also help with the budget allocation process for community colleges.
The bill passed through the Senate in late March and is now in committees in the House.
