Ag Hall of Fame accepting nominations

University of Missouri Extension is accepting nominations for the 2018 Nodaway County Agriculture Hall of Fame.  The Nodaway County Engagement Specialist Randa Doty says there is one inductee chosen each year by the Extension Council.

"Well, they review the applications or the nominations from this year.  Also, they keep prior years' nominations on file.  So they just go through and review those and select the person they think is deserving for that year."

To be considered for a nomination, you must have been born in Nodaway County or spent a significant part of your life as residents of the county. Nominees also must have a direct relationship to agricultural progress in Nodaway County. Some of the areas that are considering a person eligible for the induction are those who have worked in livestock improvement, crop improvement, soil and water conservation, education, government, farm organizations, marketing and providing services.

Applications are accepted until November 9th and the Hall of Fame inductee will be honored at the December Farm/City Banquet in Maryville.
Nomination forms are available at the University of Missouri Extension Center, 403 North Market, Room 308, or online at www.extension.missouri.edu/nodaway .
