State Theater celebrates Saturday with ventriloquist

The State Theater in Mound City begins another season of performances this Saturday. This year's season celebrates the 80th anniversary of the State Theater. President of the State Theater Arts Council, Mari Ferguson says they are bringing back a popular performer to open up the season.

"We're going to have Kevin Horner and his special guest.  He's a ventriloquist that brings laughs to all ages.  He was here for our summer library programs this summer and the kids loved him.  I think this is going to be a little more on the adult level - not so far as naughty-wise, but it will be a little more sarcasm and some jokes that maybe the kids are too young to understand."

Ventriloquist Kevin Horner's performance Saturday begins at seven o'clock at the State Theater in Mound City.  A special 80th Anniversary event is also being planned for October 21st.
