Work scheduled on I-229

Interstate 229 in Saint Joseph will encounter single-lane traffic between Route 371 and I-29 beginning next week. Contractors from Herzog Contracting Corp. working with the Missouri Department of Transportation plan to close one lane in order to safely work on milling and paving the roadway, shoulders, and ramps. Work will begin September 21 and the project should be complete in mid-October.
