FAFSA Frenzy to take place on October 21st

Northwest Missouri State University will host FAFSA Frenzy activities this fall to assist students who are seeking assistance with completing the FAFSA. Northwest Director of Financial Assistance Charles Mayfield says the FAFSA is an important student aid application.

"It's the first step in the process at Northwest, and many other 4-year and 2-year colleges and universities in the state will have a similar process that we have at Northwest.  Many times, always for federal and state financial aid, it's the first step in the application process.  And many times for institutional financial aid, the scholl will ask the student to complete the FAFSA.

Mayfield adds Northwest will offer assistance to anyone needing help filling out the FAFSA.

"We host the FAFSA Frenzy for all local students to come and get help to apply for financial aid.  They don't necessarily need to be attending Northwest.  So if they are from Marvyille or the surrounding area and they need that assistance, we'll be here to help them.  It can keep them from having to travel out of town if they are planning to go to a school out of town or out of state.  We can help them with the process."

FAFSA frenzy will take place on campus at Northwest in the B-D Owens Library on Sunday, October 21 from two to four pm.
