Atchison man seriously injured in accident

An Atchison, Kansas man is in serious condition after a one vehicle accident outside of St. Joseph. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, 34-year-old Christopher Lurquin was driving northbound on US Route 59, nine miles south of St. Joseph when he travelled off the east side of the roadway into a drainage culvert and struck an embankment. Lurquin was taken by life net air ambulance to the University of Kansas Medical Center. The crash was investigated by the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, Buchanan County Fire, Buchanan County EMS and Life Net.
