Planning is underway for Great Northwest Day at Jefferson City. Great Northwest Day at the Capitol is an annual event that provides constituents from across northwest Missouri the opportunity to engage with state lawmakers in Jefferson City. Executive Director for the Savannah Chamber of Commerce, Mary Ingersoll, says this event is a way for lawmakers to know more about the needs of northwest Missouri citizens.
"The whole idea ot the event is to remind or let them know in Jefferson City that there is much more to our state than the 2 major cities of Kansas City and St. Louis. And that our needs and priorities in rural northwest Missouri are also very important."
Great Northwest Days will take place on February 5th and 6th at the Capital Plaza Hotel in Jeffeson City.
