KCPL requests investment for energy efficiency programs

Kansas City Power and Light has requested to expand investment in its energy efficiency programs.
KCP&L submitted a request Thursday for a continuation and expansion of its energy efficiency programs with the Missouri Public Service Commission under the Missouri Energy Efficiency Investment Act. Senior Manager of Products and Services with KCP&L Brian File says the investment increase of 10 million dollars will allow KCP&L to continue their efficiency programs.

"We know customers have interest in having options to help them take control of their energy efficiency or using energy at the right time of day.  And these programs help us provide solutions for them to do that.  And ultimately it keeps energy across our region more affordable when you're using energy more efficiently and not having wasteful energy usage."

File adds KCP&L hopes to put the investments to use in early 2019. For more information visit kcpl.com
