Northwest Missouri State University awarded 442 bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and education specialist certificates Friday during winter commencement ceremonies at Bearcat Arena.
President and chief executive officer of the Kansas City Area Development Council Tim Cowden addressed the graduates and their families during the event.
Sixty percent of the graduates were from Missouri with 18 percent from Iowa, Kansas and Nebraska. The class also included 62 international graduates representing the Bahamas, Canada, China, Egypt, India, Nepal and the Netherlands.
Members of the graduating class ranged in age from 20 to 66.
