Graduate students in Northwest Missouri State University's School of Computer Science and Information Systems are working with a local hydroponic greenhouse in Maryville to develop computer programs to improve processes at the local nonprofit organization. Lettuce Dream helps people with cognitive or developmental impairments build skills they can use in a working environment.
According to a news release from the University, students in Northwest's Master of Science program in Information Systems are working in two teams to develop a human resource management system and a planting management system to track processes more efficiently.
