TriState burglary investigation continues

The investigation into the recent theft of vehicles from Tri-State Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep in Maryville continues. According to Maryville Public Safety Director Keith Wood, the break in occurred the weekend of December 8th.

"Subjects broke one of the front door windows out and were able to gain access to the building that way.  They retrieved sets of keys to various cars and by the time they departed, they had stolen four vehicles.  Those vehicles have not been recovered yet.  The investigation is fully underway along with the assistance of some our counterparts in the Kansas City urban area where there are other similar instances that have taken place in recent months."

Wood says the thieves seemed to be very organized in what they were looking for.

"Vehicles taken were probably targeted.  They were some higher end or more desirable on the street level for chopping and things of that nature."
