12th Annual Health and Fitness Fair

The 12th Annual Health and Fitness Fair will be later this month. The fair is sponsored by Rogers Pharmacy, Maryville Parks and Rec and SSM Health St. Francis Hospital. It will be Saturday, January 26 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Maryville Community Center at 1407 N. Country Club Road. During the fair, the hospital will again offer health screenings for blood pressure, lung capacity and finger stick cholesterol and glucose. Community Relations and Development Manger at SSM Health St. Francis Hospital Rita Miller says the most popular things people do at the health fair is to get their screening.

"An individual is available from the hospital that can help talk about diabetes, mental health.  We have our chaplain usually comes to talk about of events directives and end-of-life decisions that people need to be aware of.  So we have a pretty good number of booths just for the hospital."

Miller adds in addition to information about health and fitness products and offerings, there will be samples and giveaways, door prizes and a bounce house for the kids. For more information contact the St. Francis Community Relations office.
