Northwest Missouri State University has announced it has named the next director of the University's honors program.
Associate Professor of History, Dr. Elyssa Ford has been named the next director of Northwest's honors program. Ford will take over the program from Dr. Gregg Dieringer who directed it beginning in Spring of 2015. Ford's duties as director will include advising the approximately 200 students that are part of the program and work with faculty and the University's Honors Advisory Committee to offer honors courses. The honors program provides academically motivated students with the opportunity to take advanced courses, do laboratory work and take field trips.
