I-229 ramps in St. Joe to be closed for repairs

Two ramps in dowtown St. Joseph will be closed this week. Recent crashes have destroyed some of the protective barrels at the Edmond St and Charles Street Interstate 229 ramps and they need to be replaced. Crews from the Missouri Department of Transprtation will close off the off-ramp from Northbound I-229 to Edmond Street and on the ramp from Charles Street to southbound I-229 this Thursday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Each ramp may be closed only for a few hours during this time and motorists are advised to use an alternate route. The project is weather dependent and could be rescheduled.
