KCP&L Fuel Adjustment Charge

KCP&L Greater Missouri Operations Company has filed a request with the Missouri Public Service Commission to raise the fuel adjustment charge on the bills of its electric customers. There are two filings, one to adjust the charge to reflect fuel costs from June 2018 through November 2018, the other to raise fuel adjustment charges in general. According to the filings, a residential customer using 1,000 killowatt-hours a month will see their charge increase from $2.40 to $5.41. The proposed change would take effect in March. Applications to intervene and participate in the cases must be filed through the Commision's Electronic Filing and Information System at psc.mo.gov before January 21. Those wishing to comment should contact either the Office of the Public Counsel at 866-922-2959, or the Public Service Commision Staff at 1-800-392-4211.
