Maryville Board of Ed adopts new policies and hears presentation on new football helmets

The Maryville Board of Education discussed adopting new policies at its meeting Wednesday night.
Superintendent Becky Albrecht says the policies came from the Missouri School Boards Association.

"The approval of several board school policies.  We had a pretty lengthy update provided to us from the Missouri School Board Association.  Mr. Klotz presented a presentation to the board of what all those policies were with a quick synopsis.  And then those policies were approved.  They will be listed on our website and in our handbook."

Albrecht adds the board also heard a recommendation for new football helmets.

"Coach Webb, our varsity football coach, did a presentation to the board.  We're looking at making an upgrade to our football helmet equipment.  We're going to a Visis brand and he did a presentation to the board on why that was something we should consider and do.  So that was good from him."
