Maryville receives funds for Torrance St Project

The City of Maryville will receive over $140,000 in federal funds through the Transportation Alternatives Program for the Torrance Street Trail Extension Project. The project will construct an eight foot wide sidewalk along Torrance Street from Walnut to Munn. The trail will connect to six of the other trail projects that that have been funded since 2008. The location does not currently have any sidewalks. The funds will account for 64% of the project, with the other funds coming from the 2019 budget. A public meeting will be scheduled for local residents to allow further input on the project.
