Nodaway County "court" coloring book

Prosecuting Attorney of Nodaway County Robert Rice has announced a new guide and coloring activity book for children titled "Going to Court in Nodaway County." This coloring and activity book guide is for children who are victims or witnesses to a crime and have to testify or participate in the criminal justice system. Rice says he is excited to release the coloring and activity book.

"Designed specifically for children and the purpose of the book is to explain the court process using age-appropriate language and play therapy activities.  So there's a match-the-definition, there's a find-the-word, there's a coloring page in there."

Rice adds the coloring book is Nodaway County specific.

"When you look at the front of it, it's gonna be our court house.  When you open the pages, we have images of our actual courtroom that have been transposed from a color photo into a page where you can color.  So these kids when they are sitting there and they are coloring are going to be able to see and visualize what the courtroom is actually going to look like when they go up there."

Rice says he is sending coloring books to every school, church and law enforcement agency in Nodaway County.
