Second Harvest Community Listening Session to be held in Maryville today

Second Harvest Community Food Bank, based in St. Joseph, will have a Community Listening Session this afternoon in Maryville.  The event will be held at the First Baptist Church, located at 121 East Jenkins Street beginning at 1:30 p.m.  Second Harvest is looking to obtain feedback on the organization's programs and services to develop a five-year strategic plan. Communications Coordinator for Second Harvest Community Food Bank, Blake Haynes, says they're looking forward to hearing comments and suggestions concerning Second Harvest's programs in the region.

"It's open to the general public, so anybody can attend and come and give their insight on our programs and services that are offered.  And it's not just for Maryville area, anybody can come in."
