The Nodaway County Sheriff's Department has released information concerning three separate methamphetamine cases.  According to Nodaway County Sheriff Randy Strong, one of the arrests came after an investigation into a suspicious person in a vehicle in Hopkins on January 22nd.

"The deputy made contact with the individual.  The individual gave him consent to search the vehicle after the deputy became suspicious.  He recovered two suspicious items.  One tested positive for methamphetamine and the other one tested positive for heroine."

Nodaway County Prosecuting Attorney Robert Rice has charged 31-year-old Eric M. Crabbe of West Allis, Wisconsin with possession of a controlled substance.

Another incident in Hopkins that same night involved a disturbance call in the 600 block of East Warren in Hopkins. Strong says a deputy located methamphetamine in plain view in the home. A 31-year-old female was taken into custody and a child into protective custody and turned over to the Children's Division and Juvenile authorities. The adult female was later released and the investigation is on-going.

Strong says arrests were also made following a surveillance operation involving Maryville Public Safety and the Tarkio Police Department.

"We converged on two adult males and an adult female in the parking lot of the 500 Block of East 7th at an apartment complex after they completed a drug sale.  We recovered cash and methamphetamine at the scene.  Mr. Rice has charged 41-year-old David Lewis of Ravenwood, MO with distribution of a controlled substance.  The 2nd male, Brian Clark, aged 41 years old, of Tarkio, MO has been charged with possession of a controlled substance after Tarkio police conducted a simultaneous search of Clark's residence in Tarkio and found what they believe to be methamphetamine there."

Strong says the female involved in the incident was questioned and later released.
