Three-State Beef Conference to be held on Jan 15, 16, 17

The fifth annual Three-State Beef Conference will be held on January 15, 16 and 17 with locations in Iowa, Missouri and Nebraska. The theme for this year's conference is "Reducing Cow Feed Costs Using Cropland". Fields Specialist in Livestock with the University of Missouri Extension based in Savannah, Jim Humphrey, says this conference gives a regular update on current cow-calf and stocker topics.

"Well, Three-State Beef Conference is a conference where the extension systems from when Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska come together and put on a beef program.  The same program is put in on in all three states in three consecutive days."

All three sessions begin with registration at 5:30 p.m. and the program following at 6 p.m. The first session of the conference will be held in Greenfield, Iowa at the Warren Cultural Center on Tuesday January 15. The Missouri session will be held on Wednesday, January 16 in Savannah at the Andrew County Youth Building. The Nebraska session will be held on Thursday, January 17 at the Otoe County Fair Center in Syracuse. For more information contact your local University Extension Office.
