Iowa man seriously injured in crash

An Iowa man suffered serious injuries after a crash Wednesday morning in Nodaway County one mile south of Quitman. According to a report from the Missouri Highway Patrol, a 51-year-old Bedford man, Todd Poppa, was northbound on Missouri 113 when his vehicle struck the bridge abutment with the vehicle coming to rest in the middle of the bridge. Poppa was taken by Nodaway County ambulance to St. Francis Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
