KCP&L increased fuel adjustment charge

Kansas City Power and Light Company increased the fuel adjustment charge on the bills of its electric customers. The change went into effect on Friday.  For customers using 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity a month the fuel adjustment charge will increase from approximately $2.40 a month to approximately $4.92 a month. The F-A-C change reflects two filings made to the Missouri Public Service Commission. The cases reflect the company's fuel and purchased power costs during the six month period of June 2018 through November 2018 and the F-A-C true-up filing.  KCP&L provides service to approximately 323,470 customers including customers in Andrew, Atchison, Buchanan, Daviess, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway and Worth counties.
