The Stanberry R-2 Board of Education approved two hirings, assigned board members to scholarship committees, and updated policies at its meeting Monday night. Superintendent Bob Heddinger says the board received the policy update reccomendations from the Missouri Consultants for Education and the board approved the hiring of two new teachers.
"The Missouri Consultants for Education sent us updated policies which were some pretty routine changes, just a lot of little language changes in policy to update. And then we approved the hiring of our Title I teacher Mrs. Susie Wiederholt and our 6th grade elementary school teacher Mrs. Kristine Palmer for the upcoming school year."
Heddinger adds the board was able to celebrate the Stanberry Girls Basketball team that took 2nd in the Class 1 state basketball tournament.
