Volunteers needed for Peach Creek Clean-Up Project

Leadership Maryville Class 33 is looking for volunteers to help clean up Peach Creek next month. Peach Creek is the main drainage on the west side of Maryville.   That means trash gathers at the creek and in Judah Park where the creek flows through, making it hazardous for the children who play there.  Leadership Maryville would like to clean the creek from 9th Street to Cooper Street.  Leadership member, Guthrie Steins, says there will be a special event after the clean up at Judah Park.

"We'll be starting this at Judah Park and also afterwards have a bounce house and snowcones provided by A&M Amusements and Snowie.  And try to make it a little more family-friendly as well for anyone who is wanting to volunteer and be able to hang out a little bit afterwards."

The clean up project is set for Sunday, April 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Individuals, businesses, or groups interested in donating money, supplies, or time can contact Guthrie Steins at 660-254-3225 or at guthrie.stiens@nucor.com.
