Water levels still remain high in some regions

As flooding continues, water levels have began to recede in some counties, but overall the region is still seeing high water levels. That's according to Troop H Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Jake Angle.

"As far as the flooding goes, water levels up in north Atchison County and northern Holt County, there's been some reciding of the water up in those locations.  But as far as southern Holt County, I think the Big Lake area and the south maybe recided a little bit but there still seeing high water levels."

Angle also says this there is no timeline as to when we can hope to see I-29 open again at this time.

"As far as Interstate 29, reopening it's going to be difficult to give you a timeline.  A lot of that is going to depend on, I know, I'm sure they're inspecting the integrity of the roadway.  Plus, to give a lot of the debris moved from in and around the roadway."
