Peculiar sport to be played for Iowa fundraising event


SHENANDOAH, Iowa - Shenandoah Parks and Recreation is holding a fundraising event involving "Gennis," but it's not the beer. Shenandoah Park and Recreation Director, Chad Tiemeyer told KXCV/KRNW that it's a combination of two sports.

Tiemeyer says that all 18 holes will be sponsored by local businesses, but tee time will vary depending on how many sign ups there are.

The event is planned for March 7 in McComb Park. Money raised from the event will go towards building one of the first all inclusive park playgrounds in Southwest Iowa.
