CONCEPTION, Mo. - Conception Abbey and Seminary College has gotten some aid as they near the finish line. Last year, KXCV/KRNW told you that Conception is raising money for a new residence hall.
They set their fundraising goal at nearly $15 million and have raised a lot of money since going public about it last March. Recently, they've been granted a $1 million challenge grant from the Mabee Foundation.
Father Victor Schinstock is encouraged they'll hit the mark, because the response to their fundraising efforts have been overwhelming.
Under the campaign, $10 million will go towards a new residence hall, and $4.5 million will go towards growing the Monastic Retirement Endowment.
