WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - Starting today, Hy-Vee is raising money to help local food banks restock during the coronavirus pandemic.
When customers check out, they'll be asked to donate one dollar to assist local food banks in an eight-state region. Hy-Vee says they'll match every dollar, up to $500,000.
Customers can also make donations when they order groceries through Hy-Vee online. The grocery chain will be accepting donations through April 30.
