DES MOINES, Iowa - While it doesn't quite feel like Spring yet, Iowa officials have a recommendation for those with oak trees.
Urban Forestry Coordinator with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources Emma Hannigan told KXCV/KRNW that it's time to finish pruning your oak tree. She says that will help prevent the spread of oak wilt.
She adds that oak wilt can happen after storm damage as well.
