Maryville issues emergency order over coronavirus concerns

MARYVILLE, Mo. - City officials in Maryville issued an emergency order, regarding the coronavirus. Under the order, residents should avoid social gatherings with 10 or more people and avoid eating or drinking at restaurants, bars or food courts.

However, drive-thrus, pick-up and delivery options will remain available. The order doesn't impact grocery stores, gas stations, parks and banks. People will also not be able to visit nursing homes, long-term care and assisted living facilities, or retirement homes.

It's considered a municipal violation if residents don't comply with this emergency order. Maryville's emergency order is currently in effect and lasts through April 6.
