JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - Early spring is the time to enjoy the beauty of some of Missouri's trees and shrubs.
Jill Pritchard with the Statewide News Services Coordinator for the Missouri Department of Conservation told KXCV/KRNW that people should follow safety procedures while still enjoying nature.
There are a variety of trees that are already starting to bloom including serviceberry, spicebush, redbud, and wild plum. Pritchard also says people can grow their own plants. If you are interested in planting, you can visit grownative.org.
