ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - Missouri health officials are seeing a spike in coronavirus cases at a St. Joseph pork processing plant after testing earlier this week. 92 out of 707 employees at Triumph Foods who were tested Monday have COVID-19.
34 employees already tested positive coronavirus prior to this week, raising the total number of cases at the pork processing plant to 126.
The Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says every worker that was tested was not showing symptoms of COVID-19.
Approximately 1,500 employees had samples collected for testing on Tuesday and Wednesday, and those results are pending. The plant remains open and operational.
