KANSAS CITY, Mo. - While the pandemic has taken its toll on everyone nationwide, the virus has been particularly hard on women in Kansas and Missouri.
New Bureau of Labor Statistic Data shows that the unemployment rate among women has reached 16.2%, the highest on record since the Bureau started reporting gender-specific data in 1948.
President and CEO of The Women's Foundation Wendy Doyle told KXCV/KRNW that the coronavirus puts a spotlight on pay disparity issues between men and women.
