ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - The University of Missouri Buchanan County extension office is warning growers in the region to look out for true army-worm.
Extension Office Agronomy Field Specialist Wayne Flaray told KXCV/KRNW that cool, wet conditions are prime conditions the potentially devastating insect.
Flanary adds that once true army-worm populations take hold of a field unchecked, the larvae could devastate those crops.
