CLARINDA, Iowa - Thanks to the Lied Public Library, Clarinda residents can read a book as they walk around the city's downtown square.
The library implemented a story walk in downtown Clarinda, with pages from the children's book "Bounce" cut and pasted in store windows around the town square.
Youth Services Librarian Marissa Gruber told KXCV/KRNW that residents can walk clockwise through the square and read the entire book, by Doreen Cronin, from the sidewalk.
The library plans to replace "Bounce" with a different story in July.
