The Greater Maryville Chamber of Commerce hosted its August primary candidate forum. One of the issues talked about last night was Amendment 2, which would expand Medicaid in Missouri. Mosaic's Government and Community Relations Officer, Pat Dillon, spoke in favor of it.
"Thirty-seven states this around us have done this now and it's just no longer a pilot program. It's proven to save money in many many states."
Missouri State Representative Allen Andrews spoke against the Amendment.
"From being on the budget committee, my concern is where the money will come from."
The forum also gave a platform to those running for the Nodaway County Commission, and Nodaway County Sheriff.
